Tabouli
1 cup bulgur wheat
1 cup boiling water
1/4 cup olive oil
juice of 1/2 fresh lemon
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
dash of cayenne pepper
1/4 cup chopped green onion
1 bunch fresh Italian parsley
1 large or 2 small tomatoes
In a medium saucepan, boil water, add bulgur wheat, turn off heat, cover and let sit 30 minutes.
Combine: olive oil, lemon juice, salt, garlic powder, oregano and pepper. Add to wheat.
Stir all together with tomato, parsley and onions in a serving bowl, cover and chill.
