Guacamole
1 ripe avocado (The bumpy dark Haas avocado from California is best)
1/2 small diced onion
1 medium seeded, diced tomato or equivalent amount of fresh salsa if you have it
1 clove minced garlic
2 teaspoons lemon juice
Salt
Pepper
Dash Tabasco Sauce or Green Tabasco Sauce
Chopped cilantro (optional)
Mash avocado with a fork. Add other ingredients. Taste and adjust seasonings according to preference. Chill, covered closely with Saran Wrap. It will blacken if not served soon.
Serve with tortilla chips.
