1 lb ground lamb Note: You can use ground beef and lamb if preferred
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 clove garlic
½ medium onion
1 tsp. cumin
1 ½ tsp sea salt
1 tsp black pepper
Process cold until paste forms. May be chilled at this stage 1-24 hours
Form into squarish loaf on a foil lined baking pan.
Bake at 300 degrees for about an hour. Internal temperature should be 155 degrees.
Slice thinly, broil briefly and serve.
Serve with pita bread, tzatziki sauce, sliced tomatoes, cucumber, onion.
