Dark Chocolate Frosting

1 cube butter

1 box powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

3 ounces of melted unsweetened chocolate

whipping cream

Too wet? Add more powdered sugar. Too dry? Add more cream.

Recent improved method:

1 and a half cubes butter

1 box powdered sugar

1 c unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla

¼ c milk

¼ c room temperature coffee

Cream butter and cocoa until smooth. Add sugar and milk to cocoa mixture by adding 1 cup of sugar followed by about a tablespoon of milk/coffee. After each addition has been combined, turn mixer onto a high speed for about a minute. Same with vanilla. Repeat until all sugar and milk/coffee have been added.

If frosting appears too dry, add more milk, a tablespoon at a time until it reaches the right consistency. If it appears too wet and does not hold its form, add more confectioner’s sugar, a tablespoon at a time until it reaches the right consistency.
