Pork Chops with Gran Marnier Glaze
6 - 8 large, center-cut pork chops
1/2 cup Grand Marnier
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup chopped onions
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
Salt and pepper
In large frying pan melt butter and on medium high, brown pork chops. In same pan reduce heat and slowly brown onions. After onions are brown, add orange juice and cream, bring to simmer for 5 minutes. Season chops with salt and pepper.
Return to sauce, cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Turn off heat, remove pork chops and pour half the Grand Marnier over top of chops and put under broiler for 1 1/2 minutes. Arrange pork chops on plate, reheat sauce and pour around chops. Pour remaining Grand Marnier over chops. Ignite and serve flaming. Goes well over white rice.
