Sushi restaurants serve this vegetable as an appetizer or side dish. I like them salty.
1 lb. package frozen edamame available at Asian food stores and some supermarkets
3 tablespoons or so salt to about 3 quarts water
Boil until tender - 5 to 6 minutes. Drain, rinse with cold running water to cool or serve hot. Sprinkle with sea salt. Eat the beans with fingers, discard pods.
