Bran Muffins

1 1/4 cups sugar
1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon salad oil
2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups Kellogg’s All Bran Cereal
1 cup Nabisco 100% Bran
2 eggs
2 1/4 cups flour
2 cups buttermilk
1 cup boiling water
Pour boiling water over Nabisco Bran, and cool. Cream oil and sugar and eggs. Add buttermilk and Kellogg’s All Bran.

Sift flour, salt and soda and add to above mixture. Fold in Nabisco Bran. Use paper in muffin tins. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 - 20 minutes. Keeps in fridge for 2 weeks.
