Apple Sauce

*** I used 5 Cortland apples and cut down on the sugar by a couple of tablespoons. This varies with the sweetness of the apples. Also, they were soft to start with, so I didn't need to really chop them, just cut the slices in half.

Ingredients

4 apples - peeled, cored and chopped
3⁄4 cup water
1⁄4 cup white sugar
1⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Prep: 10 mins
Cook: 20 mins (more or less) Total: 30 mins

Yield: 4 servings

In a saucepan, combine apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon. Cover, and cook over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes, or until apples are soft. Allow to cool, then mash with a fork or potato masher.
