Angela's Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 c. quick oats (if no oats, add 1/4 c more flour)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 bag chocolate chips (1 bag = 12 oz.)
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar packed
3/4 c. white sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp. vanilla

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, oats, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl with a whisk. Beat butter and sugars in large bowl at medium speed until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. At low speed, or by hand, gradually beat in flour mixture until well blended. Stir in chips. Drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 13 to 14 minutes until golden brown. Let cookies stand on sheets 2 minutes then transfer to wire rack to cool.

Single batch = 3 dozen
