Sweet
and Sour Red Cabbage |
I saw Carol cooking this recently. She used more of of the liquids
and sugar than this old recipe that she gave me. So it is obviously
not a recipe that she measures. Also she cooked it in a big frying
pan and stirred it often. She had the lid off for a long time as
I remember. Anyway, hers is always better than mine.
1 medium red cabbage, shredded
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup white vinegar
Add ingredients, stir, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
