Kahlua |

don’t know where I got this recipe. I know Penny and Bill
both make Kahlua. I don’t think it is Penny’s handwriting.
So maybe it’s Bill’s recipe.
3 cups water
4 cups sugar
long vanilla bean (or substitute 4 tablespoons vanilla extract added
last)
2 ounces premium instant coffee
1 cup hot water
1 quart vodka
Cook together vanilla bean, sugar and 3 cups water over medium high
heat to boiling. Turn to low and cook 3 - 4 minutes, or until it
starts to thicken. Mix coffee and 1 cup hot water until it dissolves.
Add cooled sugar mix and blend. Put in glass jar and add vodka.
Makes a half gallon.
