Roast beef

Matt and Donna's Chili

1 - 2 lbs. hamburger or turkey burger
15 oz. tomato puree
1 3/4 cup water
1 onion chopped
15 oz. can kidney beans


5 tablespoons chili powder (more to taste)
1/2 tablespoon salt
3 - 4 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 - 1 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
Boil water in large pot and brown the meat in it. Add onions and spices. Boil 15 minutes. Add tomato puree and boil 10 - 15 more minutes. Add beans last. Cook 10 minutes more. Add more spices to taste. The more the better, really. Serve with grated cheese on top and saltines, of course.
